Next Gen

20250727-DSC08950.JPG

The Next Generation is not secondary to us. We believe it is essential that kids and teens experience a church community that is as much theirs as it is for adults and every generation in between—a community where the next generation learn to love God and cultivate a faith that lasts a lifetime. We invite them not just to participate but to be contributors to the work God is doing in our community and beyond.

  • When placing your child in kid’s church expect a structured yet fun environment designed for their spiritual development. Our friendly and enthusiastic teachers and helpers follow a Bible based curriculum which is tailored to your child’s specific grade and developmental stage. Our primary goal is spiritual development through teaching and experiencing the core message of faith.

  • Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us. Every volunteer and staff member complete a background check and training to ensure your child’s safety.

Upon arrival, someone at our check-In kiosk will walk you through the process of registering your child for one of our classrooms. You will then be shown to the classrooms so you can familiarize yourself with the area. The kiosk is located just outside the nursery on the right side of the lobby as you enter Faithway.

Using our computerized check in system, you will be given a printed name tag for the child and one for the parent or guardian. This tag will also include any medical notes, such as allergies, that your child may have so all volunteers will be aware. This tag must be presented in order to pick up your child. Pick up is by the back door where children exited to their classrooms.

**Please note we do not allow elementary aged children to check in or pick up their siblings.**

Nursery aged children may go directly to the nursery after check in. If you have a preschool and/or elementary aged child, they will accompany you into the auditorium for Worship. The Worship leader will dismiss the kids after a few songs. The children use the left exit at the front of the sanctuary and follow the other children and teachers to their classroom. Parents are welcome and encouraged to walk with us the first time so they can see where the classroom is located.

After the service, please bring your tag to the hallway where your child exited to their classroom to pick up your child.

  • Bringing your Bible to class is strongly encouraged, but you do not need to bring anything to attend Kid’s Church

For nursery – a diaper bag with extra diapers, wipes, clothes, snacks, and a comfort toy

  • If you’ve got a student in 4th-12th grade, we have just the place for them!  Our youth group (Grades 4-8) and teen group (Grades 9-12) are designed to help your student continue to deepen their relationship with Jesus alongside their peers through engaging worship, relevant teaching, small group discussion, and fun-filled activities.

Teens ages 13+ may volunteer to help in the nursery and Tree House classroom. A background check and training are required.

  • Each week children in the Tree House and iKids51 classrooms earn Bible Bucks for attendance, bringing their Bible, bringing a friend, and scripture memory verses. The store is open 4 times per year in November, February, May, and August. We kindly ask that parents accompany their children to the store.
